Mayschoß
image author: Gerd Caspers Mayschoß, first mentioned in 1106 as Meinscozen is situated in a wide basin of the Ahr, visually broken up by one of the mountains that surround the Ahr, the Etzhardt. People unfamiliar with the area may get the impression to have walked through several wine villages because Mayschoß , surrounded by the viewing points Schwedenkopf, Akropolis, Ümerich can't even be viewed completely from one of the oldest fortifications in the Ahr Valley the Saffenburg.
