Just in time for the 150-year anniversary of the health spa resort Bad Neuenahr in the coming year Bad Neuenahr has been awarded the title "Best Health Spa Town" in Germany after a comparing study by the "Europäischen Tourismusinstituts Trier" (ETI).
The study results of the transnational health resort analysis of the ETI certifies that the guest in Bad Neuenahr can anticipate the highest total quality as well as a very special health competence.
The survey is based on valuation system that has 1.000 criteria that is captioned with 14 quality categories, which are in turn ancillary to the general theme "Health-Tourist Quality" as the information quality in the forefront, travel service quality, accessibility, local information quality, health facilities, the general leisure time offer, accommodation and gastronomy, local mobility, the cultural range, landscape attractiveness, climate, spa-medical foundation and competence and the local atmosphere.
The survey was preceded by nationwide interviews to classify the target groups for health resorts and spas. Three target groups were recognised: Health tourists, wellness holiday maker and recreational tourists. And Bad Neuenahr is also the number 1 in the target groups among the 158 participants.
